Our LEAP (Learning and Education Action Plan) group and individual discussions, ran by our two youth workers, are a central part of our operations in Velos Youth.

The young people who come to the Velos Youth centre are primarily attending, or being mobilised by our team to start attending, classes in non-formal education.

The already fluid environment that spaces offering such classes are called upon to deal with – a constant mobility of students and volunteers – is further aggravated by the pandemic conditions, making it very difficult for children to have a clear plan of action regarding their education.

With the help of LEAP and with discussions that focus on the individual aspirations of each young person, our Youth Workers try, through the setting of short terms goals, to jointly organise the daily life of young people in terms of their education by taking small and steady steps towards their dreams.
