From 2019 to 2021 we were funded by the European Programme for Integration and Migration, to partner with two local Greek organisations to develop and implement an enhanced package of coordinated services for young people. Alongside Day Centre Babel and HumanRights360 we created a referral and partnership network that aided young people in preparing for, and transitioning to, adulthood, as they found their rights and access to services changing on their 18th birthday.

The project titled, “Transitioning to Adulthood: a pathway to autonomy and self-reliance” tested a new methodology for the integration of young people in the 16-21 age range, including granting direct and immediate access to employability support and psychological care. Ultimately, the project was a development and enhancement of the holistic approach already delivered by Velos Youth.

The project officially concluded at the end of 2021, but the partnership and referral network delivered lives on.
